LLA takes a positive approach to disciplining students, by educating them on school rules, demonstrating and proactively teaching proper behavior, and responding to violations with measures that encourage correction of behavior rather than simply punishment.
Please contact the school for more details.
1. Due to New York State guidelines, students and adults are required to wear masks upon entering the school building:
“Effective immediately, in accordance with the Commissioner’s Determination issued pursuant to 10 NYCRR 2.60, any person over the age of 2 (including all students, personnel, teachers, administrators, contractors, and visitors) must wear masks at all times indoors in P-12 school buildings, regardless of vaccination status. People with medical or developmental conditions that prevent them from wearing a mask may be exempted from mask requirements, as documented by a medical provider. People do not need to wear masks when eating, drinking, singing, or playing a wind instrument; when masks are removed for these purposes, individuals must be spaced six feet apart. All mask requirements must be applied consistently with any state and federal law (e.g., Americans with Disabilities Act).”
2. Students and staff should wash hands regularly or use hand sanitizer. Classrooms will be cleaned and disinfected daily.
3. If students, teachers, or assistants are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, or congestion, they should remain at home and not return to school until receiving a covid test (rapid test is ok).
4. Parents must make an online quarterly declaration concerning Covid-19 symptoms
5. Parent signature on daily drop-off/pick-up sheet will also serve as a declaration concerning Covid-19 symptoms.
6. Any questions regarding COVID-19 protocols should be directed to Liam.
